周颖 Nancy Zhou 美国 United States
周颖1993年出生于美国德州圣安东尼奥市,毕业于哈佛大学。在父亲与老师的音乐指导下,她9岁就与乐团举行了首演。她也曾在新英格兰音乐学院跟随米丽娅姆·弗里德学习。

作为2017年尹伊桑小提琴大赛二等奖获得者、2012年伊丽莎白女王大赛和2015年西贝柳斯小提琴大赛优胜者,周颖与国际一流乐团进行了广泛合作,包括斯德哥尔摩皇家爱乐乐团、慕尼黑交响乐团、圣彼得堡爱乐乐团、比利时国家管弦乐团、圣安东尼奥交响乐团等。作为独奏家,她曾在美国本土与亚洲举行巡演,也参加了韦尔比耶音乐节、拉维尼亚音乐节、德国梅克伦堡艺术节。周颖自2008年起接受安妮-索菲·穆特基金会的赞助。除了私人资助,安妮-索菲·穆特也邀请她合作了一系列世界巡演。

本乐季中周颖的重要演出包括在国家大剧院与中国国家交响乐团合作的中国首演,以及在上海与台北的独奏会。今夏她将重返Encore室内乐音乐节,为年轻音乐家提供指导。

本次比赛中,周颖的演奏用琴是一把1763年的尼科洛·加利亚诺小提琴,由Florian Leonhard Fine Violins工作室借出。


Nancy Zhou, born in 1993, is a native of San Antonio, TX and a graduate of Harvard University. Influenced in music by her father and teacher, Nancy gave her orchestral debut at the age of 9. She has additionally studied with Miriam Fried at the New England Conservatory.

The second prize winner of the 2017 Isang Yun Violin Competition and laureate of the 2012 Queen Elisabeth Competition and 2015 Jean Sibelius Violin Competition, Nancy has performed extensively with international orchestras including the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Munich Symphony, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, National Orchestra of Belgium, and the San Antonio Symphony. As a recitalist, she has performed across in predominantly US and Asia and at such festivals as the Verbier Festival, Ravinia Festival, and the Festpiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Since 2008, Nancy has been a recipient of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation. Besides individual support, Anne-Sophie Mutter has invited Nancy to collaborate with her on concert tours around the world.

Highlights from this season included Nancy’s China debut with the China National Symphony Orchestra in Beijing’s National Center for the Performing Arts and recitals in Shanghai and Taipei. This coming summer, she will return to the Encore Chamber Music Festival as faculty member, providing guidance to young musicians.

For the competition, Nancy plays on a 1763 Nicolo Gagliano on loan from Florian Leonhard Fine Violins.
